David Sadler Carruthers

Born in Dunrobin, ON on May 29, 1948

David Carruthers passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, at Granite Ridge Long Term Care Home in Stittsville, Ontario. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Granite Ridge. Not only for the compassionate care they provided during David’s time there, but also for the friendship and kindness they showed him.

David was the beloved son of the late Sadler and Norma Carruthers.

He was a cherished brother to the late Theodore (late Georgie) Carruthers, the late Gwen (late Lloyd) Falls, the late Patricia Carroll, George (Margaret) Carruthers, the late Stuart (Katherine) Carruthers, Carolyn (late Gerald) O’Malley, Lois (Guy) Tardiff, and lastly his twin the late Donald (Karen) Carruthers.

David will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Services will be held in the spring. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at Huntley Presbyterian Cemetery, 3149 Carp Rd, Carp, ON K0A 1L0, on May 29, 2026 at 1 p.m. A celebration of life will follow at the Carp Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 115 Rivington St, Carp from 2 until 4 p.m.
