David Thomas Allan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Thomas Allan. Retired from Xerox Canada and former member of the RCAF, David passed peacefully on Friday August 15th, 2025 at the age of 86. Son of Stewart Allan and Meryl (nee Davis), he leaves behind his brother Harry (Nancy) and is predeceased by his dear sister Donna.

Beloved husband of Barbara (nee Bradley), and cherished father of Jennifer (Doug), Tom (Yuka) and Amy (Darren). He was also a wonderful, loving grandfather to granddaughters Stephanie and Katherine.

David was born on May 30th, 1939 in Toronto, Ontario and he spent many years in Kingston and Ottawa. Dave loved poetry and would recite full Shakesperean Sonnets and other poetry (by heart!). He enjoyed music, played the guitar and loved to sing. He always kept us laughing with his quick wit and smart sense of humour. If you needed, Dave would be there to lend a hand, he always offered kind words and words of praise. In his close-knit community, Dave was well loved and known for his friendly “hi neighbour” wave.

We will miss this good and wonderful man.
