Daniel Gary Jones

December 12, 1954 - January 14, 2022 (Age 67)

It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father Dan Jones. Our heartfelt thanks to all of the doctors, nurses and staff of the intensive care unit at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. Despite their best efforts, Dan passed away suddenly in hospital on January 14th, 2022.

Born to John and Eileen Jones on December 12, 1954. The younger sibling of big brother Jack (Colleen Jones) and big sister, Susan (Pierre Bazinet).

He is survived by his daughters Jennifer and Trisa, son Matthew and his six grandchildren Sean, Carson, Mason, Lily, Adeline and Charlotte.

Dan was passionate about camping, boating, fishing and just generally enjoying life and being outdoors. He lived for the "good times"!  He was quick to crack a joke or drop an awful pun and always shared a smile or laugh with everyone he met.

He will be interred alongside his loving wife of 34 years, Judith Ann, at the Botanical Cremation Garden at Beechwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday January 22, 2022 from 12pm-2pm at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes at 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt) Ottawa. As a tribute to Dan, we would like the visitors to wear a touch of blue as this was his favorite color.  Interment at Beechwood cemetery to follow, a live stream of the interment will be available by scrolling below.
