Dana Caroline Brown

(née Ferguson) - Peacefully, entered into the presence of her Lord, Jesus Christ on May 5, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer. Beloved wife and best friend of Andrew for over 33 years. Cherished daughter of Jim and Carol Ferguson. She is also remembered with love by her siblings Len (Alyson), Brent (Jessica) and Dawn (Gary), as well as five awesome nephews and two beautiful nieces. Sister-in-law of Graeme of Montréal. Predeceased by her grandparents and her uncle Jack. She is missed by Daphne (the cat).

Dana will be remembered for her caring spirit, her solid faith in God, her chocolate chip cookies and her numerous crochet projects.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 4th from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, June 5th from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Arlington Woods Free Methodist Church, 225 McClellan Road. The celebration of Dana’s life will be held at the church on June 5th at 2:00 p.m. Private inurnment to be held at a later date.

Dana’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and personal support workers who took such excellent care of Dana, especially Dr. Douglas, nurse Valerie, and the wonderful staff at Ruddy Shenkman Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dana’s memory may be made to The Royal Ottawa Mental Health Centre or Hospice Care Ottawa.
