Claire Wilkins

March 9, 1978 — March 1, 2026

It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Claire Kathryn Wilkins, who died on March 1, 2026 at age 47 from neuroendocrine cancer. Claire was born in Montreal on March 9, 1978, and moved with her family to Ottawa in 1987. She attended École secondaire De La Salle, then McGill and Carleton Universities. She worked for decades in various departments of the Canadian federal government. She is survived by her husband Dominique Lauzon and her daughter Charlotte Eloïse Lauzon of Kanata, her mother and step-father, Kathryn “Kitty” Stalker and Michael Egan of Chelsea, Quebec, her father and step-mother, Russell Wilkins and Georgia Roberts of Nepean, her brother Carl Wilkins (Michael Norris) of Pender Island, British Columbia, and her sister Emily Wilkins (Marc Bois) of Ottawa. A celebration of Claire’s life will be held on Saturday, March 14, from 2:00-5:00 PM at the Highland Park Cemetery, 2037 McGee Side Road in Carp.

To respect Claire’s preferences, no flowers please. For those wishing to make a gift, please consider giving blood (https://www.blood.ca/en/blood/donating-blood/) or donating to neuroendocrine cancer research and awareness (https://cnets.ca/). Neuroendocrine Cancer is often misdiagnosed and misunderstood and Claire was only able to continue her chemotherapy thanks to many transfusions of blood and platelets.
