Brian Kenneth Hlady

Peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital on February 22, Brian Kenneth Hlady reached the finish line of his marathon with cancer. He fought to the last step. Beloved husband of Alison (Harding) and cherished father of Anne. Predeceased by his parents Brian and Joanne (Gordon) Hlady. Also sadly missed by his brother Kevin Hlady, parents-in-law Paul and Colleen Harding, sister-in-law Kate Harding (Randall Smith), grandmother-in-law Marilyn Belbin, and a niece, nephew, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins in the extended Hlady, Gordon, Harding, and Belbin families.

The family would like to thank Drs. Goodwin, Dennis, Laughton, and Seely, as well as the nursing team on the oncology ward at the General Campus of the Ottawa Hospital, for their exceptional care and compassion.

Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life at Tubman Funeral Homes Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road, (between Bayshore and Baseline Rd.), Nepean on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at 1:30pm. Reception to follow. Anyone who would like to share a memory, a reflection, or a bad dad joke in Brian’s honour will be welcome to speak.
