Bonny Gracey

Bonny Jean Gracey (Whitteker), 84, of Ottawa, was taken home to be with her Lord on March 20th, 2023.

Born in Winchester Springs to Ward Whitteker and Eva Casselman she was one of 8 children: Joan, William (Bill), June, Ron, twin sister Betty [aka partner in crime since the beginning of time], Carolyn and Gayle. She met Allan Gracey of Stittsville on a blind date and married him in 1958. They had three children.

Bonny was predeceased by her husband (Allan Gracey) and her son Dale. She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by her remaining children; Jill (Adam Villeneuve) and Danny (Anita Tacon) and her 6 grandchildren; Joel (Emma), Lindsay (Paul), Justin (Leila), Scott, Sarah, Jacklyn (Josh), as well as her two remaining sisters - Carolyn and Gayle - and numerous nephews and nieces. She had 3 great grandchildren and counting.

A kind and compassionate soul who loved Jesus, spending time with her family, and all animals. She liked dancing and music as well as painting and decorating. She also enjoyed reading and had a wonderful sense of humour and loved to laugh. She always gave people the benefit of the doubt and stood up for the underdog. We are proud to have called her our mom/grandma/sister/friend.

A heartfelt thank you to staff at New Orchard Lodge where she spent the last 5 years of her life.
