Borutski – Bernadette Frances (née Visutski)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bernadette Borutski, with family by her side, on April 1, 2023 in her 89th year.

Beloved wife to her late husband Angus Borutski. Daughter of the late Frank and Mary Visutski. Cherished sister to Stanley Visutski (late Delores Visutski) and sisters-in-law Marilyn Visutski (late Edward Visutski) and Genevieve Visutski (late Clarence Visutski). Predeceased by her siblings Katherine Cybulski, Clarence Visutski, Loretta Borutski and Edward Visutski, her daughter-in law, Donna Borutski, and her grandson, Leo Borutski.

Lovingly remembered by her children Connie (Bob Ellah), Barry (late Donna), David (Judy), Mary Jane (Mike Murphy), Donald (Hayley), Heather (John Hamilton), Ricky (Wendy Hickman), Bernie (Bobby Prince) and Kirsten (Kevin Larose). Proud grandma/nanny/GG to 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and friends.

Bernadette was a talented baker, passionate gardener and gifted quilter. She loved playing bingo and was always up for any game that involved a good competition. She loved fishing, kayaking and cottaging with family well into her senior years. Above all else, she loved to laugh and have fun with the people around her.

The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Kathryn Ann Fillingham for her wonderful care over the past many years and a special thanks to the staff at the Ottawa Hospital (General Campus) for their expertise and compassion.

Friends may attend a visitation at the Kars Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 1610 Roger Stevens Dr., Kars on Wednesday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 pm and Thursday from 9 to 10 am.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 2540 Stagecoach Rd, Osgoode, on Thursday at 11 a.m.  followed by a reception.  Interment St. Casimir's Cemetery, Round Lake Centre in the spring.

Donations in memory of Bernadette may be made to the Canadian Lung Association.
