Barbara Ethel McKay

Peacefully at age 92 after a long and happy life Barbara passed away with her loving family close by. She is pre-deceased by her parents Albert and Lillian Askew (nee Costello). She goes to join her husband of 49 years Willie (2000) and her companion Guy Cole.  Barb leaves behind her children, daughter Robin (Don Cameron), son Paul and her two beautiful grandchildren, Sarah and Sean who were the light of her life. She will deeply miss her dear friend of Aggie Erfle. 

Barb led an active life. She was the president of the Day Ladies league at the Cityview Curling Club. Barb was also a qualified track and field official who officiated the Shot Put at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal alongside her husband Willie, who was head field judge. 

She was well loved, loving and will be missed every day. 

In keeping with Barb’s wishes, cremation has taken place, there will be no service and a private family interment is to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers a contribution to the charity of your choice in memory of her would be appreciated.
