It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Barbara ‘Barb’ Diamantini (nee Cuddy). Barb passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on August 14th 2022, at the age of 74. Barb was born in Ottawa, ON on November 3, 1947, to Bernice Cuddy (nee Plante) and Edward Cuddy. She grew up and raised her family in Sudbury, ON, only to return to Ottawa later in life to be closer to her sons.

Barb appreciated all the simple pleasures in life. She loved flowers, tea, buttered popcorn, and burnt toast. Cooking and baking for her family and friends was her passion. She was the personification of generosity, kindness and unconditional love. Barb saw the best in anyone and everyone. But, above all, she loved her family with everything that she had, manifested in countless ways.

Barb is survived by the love of her life, Roger Diamantini, her world/her two ‘boys’, Kevin Diamantini (Stephanie Smith) and Jason Diamantini (Shirley Ann Farley), and her adored grandchildren Ellie, Stephen, Hendrix, Avery and Ashley. In addition, she is survived by her beloved siblings Linda (Glen), Ron (Anna), Debbie (Brian) and Ed, brother-in-law Donald (Gladys), as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family wishes to express their immense gratitude for the unbelievable care received from assorted Health Care Medical Teams. A special thank you to Dr. S. Ramachandran GP, Dr. Eddy Malouf, Dr. Sallojee, Dr. Z Dhalla, Dr. Kapur, Dr. E Pringle, Dr. Bush and the staff at the Élisabeth Bruyère Continuing Care Centre.

Visitation will be held at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road (at Roosevelt) on Saturday, August 20, 2022, from 10 a.m. until time of service in the chapel at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Barb’s name to the charity of your choice.
