DELL, Barbara A. E. (nee Holgate)

Passed away peacefully at home on Friday January 30, 2026 with her family by her side. 

Born October 28, 1936, Barb was 89, the daughter of the late Harold and Helen Holgate. Predeceased in 2019 by her husband of over 60 years, the late Wayne Dell, Barb is lovingly remembered by their daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Martin Stott of Stirling and their son and daughter-in-law, David and Carolyn Dell (nee Dunbar) of Oakville. Barb is also survived by seven cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan and Emily Stott, and Madeleine, Andrew, Thomas and Iain Dell, as well as her sister, Judy Ash, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Arthur in 1978.

 A graduate of Nepean High School and Carleton University, Barb was a lifelong resident of Ottawa but spent summers making memories with friends and family at Bennett Lake. 

Friends may call at  Tubman Funeral Homes Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore  and Baseline Road), Nepean on Wednesday, February 4th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday February 5th from 12:30 p.m. prior to a memorial service in the Chapel at 1:30 p.m. A reception will follow. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
