André Napoleon Neveu

On Thursday, November 21st, 2024, Andre Napoleon Neveu, peacefully passed away. He was 73 years old.

He leaves behind, his wife Mary Ann, his daughter Tania, and his two stepsons Paul and Robert, his grandchildren, Danny, Hamed, Jasmine, and Leila, his siblings, Roland (Monique), Emile (Ann), Claude, Nicole (Bill), Robert and Jean (Jacques). He Wii be sorely missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbours and especially his best friends, Earl (Lise) and Phil (Louise)

He is predeceased by his parents, Laurent Neveu and Rolande Jodoin, his sister Diane Dicenso, and his sister-in-law Nathalie Gauthier-Neveu.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, December 7th, 2024 from 9:30 to 10:30 at Tubman’s Funeral Home Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Road, Ottawa. A Memorial Service will follow, in the Chapel from 10:30-11:30 and a Reception from 11:30-1:30. Private burial at Notre Dame, Cemetery, Montreal Road, Ottawa.

Andre was employed by the Ottawa Carleton District School Board for 35 years, first as a painter and then in later years, a carpenter. He was artistically inclined and would spend countless hours creating special treasures and he loved finishing old pieces to the original glory. Neighbours and friends didn’t have to ask him for help. He was usually the 1st one to arrive and the last to leave. He loved being at the trailer, where he worked on his gardens for hours.

Many thanks to Dr. Spacek and Dr. Goindi, as well as all the caring staff at Ruddy Shenkman Hospice in Kanata, who made his final days so peaceful.
