Ainsley Gordon MacDonald

It is with great sadness that the family of Gordon MacDonald announces his passing on November 24, 2025, at the Ottawa Civic Hospital at the age of 60. Gord will be dearly missed by his three brothers and sisters-in-law: Angus (Janet), Gregory (Billie), and Murray (Terri). He will be remembered by his nieces and nephew: Laura, Christine (Babak Maghsoudloo), Jacob, Sammie, Katie Wright (Herb), Jonathan Wright (Kayla) and his cousins Pamela and Douglas Baker.

Gord was born in Montreal, Quebec to Ross MacDonald and Willa (Eden) MacDonald on 8 December 1964, and spent the majority of his life in Ottawa.

Gord will be remembered by his many friends as an extremely intelligent and kind person who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was quick to laugh and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held for Gord in Ottawa at The Clocktower Brew Pub, 418 Richmond Rd, Ottawa, on Sunday 7 Dec 2025 from 2:00 to 5:00pm.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of The Ottawa Civic Hospital and The Queensway Carleton for all the care and support they’ve provided to Gord and the family during his many stays with them.
