Worswick, Aidan Joseph MacLeod

Aidan Worswick passed away peacefully at the age of 26 years, on December 20th, 2022 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, following a courageous 22 month battle with Melanoma. He is survived by his wife Isabella Figueras of Chicago, his parents Karen Macleod and Christopher Worswick, his brother Daniel (Haley), his grandparents John and Brenda Worswick, his aunts and uncles Gillian Mulvale, Michael Worswick (Tracy), Kenneth Macleod (Lee) and many cousins. Aidan is also deeply missed by Julie and Joe Figueras of Batavia, Illinois, and their family. Predeceased by his grandparents, Peter and Margaret Macleod.
Born in Melbourne, Australia, Aidan began school in Ottawa at Broadview Public School and graduated from Nepean High School in 2014. He was an avid soccer and hockey player and he was a regular at the McKellar Park outdoor rink. Aidan also loved time at the cottage on Lac Bernard. He is a graduate of Queen's University (BAH Economics '18) and University of Toronto (MA Economics '19) after which he worked as an Analyst at the Office of the Parliamentary Budget Officer during 2019-2020. Aidan then moved to Atlanta, attended Georgia Institute of Technology (GA Tech) and graduated with a MSc in Analytics in 2021. He worked as a Data Scientist at Zillow Group, living most recently in Chicago.
We are all so proud of Aidan's accomplishments and how he continued to live life to the fullest even when faced with extraordinary adversity. He made friends everywhere he went. All who knew Aidan will cherish memories of his smile that lit up a room, his easy laugh, caring nature and beautiful spirit.
A celebration of Aidan's life will be held on Saturday, January 14th, 2023 at 1 pm at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Ottawa, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated at the Canadian Cancer Society or AIM at Melanoma Foundation (in the United States).
