Hand - Robert William Yancey

Nov 18th, 1969 – Nov 27th, 2019

Yancey died peacefully in hospital Wednesday, November 27, 2019 surrounded by loved ones. He loved life and fought valiantly to stay with those he loved.  He was a charismatic, funny, kind soul and a genuinely all-around great guy who easily connected with all those he met. His loss will be felt by many. He enjoyed life, loved his family, and had many close friends that he also considered family.  He was a wonderful father to Jake and Kasey. A loving husband to Kelly. A loyal big brother to Lisa. A cherished son to Marilyn and Wayne and son-in-law to Loraine Morency and Andy Laveau. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law Shirley Murray and his favourite Aunt, Pauline. He was a treasured nephew to Georgina and Gary Nesbitt and loved by his many cousins. He was a faithful friend to many.  Visitation will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Rd., Nepean, on Thursday, December 5th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm.  Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Friday, December 6th at 11 am.  Burial will take place at Christ Church Anglican, Huntley, at a later date.  A special thank you to all the angels who cared for him in his final days at TOH and for the overwhelming love and support from his OC family.  In lieu of flowers donations to the Ottawa Hospital Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.  Tributes, condolences and donations may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com
