We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our dear mother, Ruth, who will be missed each and every day. May God hold her tight.

She is survived by her children: Gordon, Connie, Bruce (Yasmine) and Joan (Sherry); her grandchildren Kurtis, Emily and Lara and especially her brothers Doug (Valerie) and David (Lynne)

Our mother was a very kind and generous woman. She was selfless and brought joy to all who knew her. In a marriage of 54 years she provided care for her loving husband (Keith) for over 30 years of those years. She was 96 years old and never had a bad thing to say about anybody.

She had a love for softball growing up and she played shortstop at a very high level.  She was a bridge enthusiast, which brought her close to friends and family. Then in her senior years she excelled at golf as her new passion in life.

Mom, we love you and will miss you! May you find peace in heaven!

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 2 p.m. For those wishing to view the service online, click on the link below. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
