DANIELS, Rupert (Rupe)

May 6, 1929 – January 5, 2020

A lifetime resident of Ottawa, Rupe passed away in his home on Sunday, January 5, 2020 in his 91st year. Cherished husband of Carolyn for more than 37 years. He will be dearly missed by his children, Wayne Daniels and Lynn Jackson, as well as Carolyn’s children, Jennifer (Mark) and Jon (Wendy). Loving Poppa to Elizabeth, Matthew, Hayley and Rowan. Rupe is also survived by sisters Ruth (Ormond), Arlene (Bill) and Joanie (Ken), and predeceased by siblings Connie, Bob and Gary.

Rupe enjoyed a successful career in sales with Rankin’s Hardware, Steenbakkers Lumber and The Door Company before making his name as Erindale Drive’s resident golf ball salesman.

A celebration of Rupert’s life will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Road) on Saturday, January 11, 2020 from 2 pm to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ottawa Humane Society.
