April 9, 1927 – February 18, 2020

The Horrocks family announces the passing of their father John on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the age of 92.  Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (nee MacDonald).  Survived by son Andrew (Marcella and grandsons Collin, James, and Timothy) and by daughter Lynn, and predeceased by son Robert.

John married Dorothy in Toronto, later moving to Montreal and then to Ottawa in 1992.  He is retired from the CNR.  He was a former active member of the Pointe Claire and Granite Curling Clubs.  John also enjoyed playing cricket and soccer in his younger days.  He travelled widely with Dorothy, with frequent visits to the UK and other European locations, and in time North Africa, Hong Kong, China, India, and Thailand.

A memorial service will held at First Baptist Church, 140 Laurier Ave. West, at Laurier and Elgin, on Saturday, May 2nd at 11am followed by a reception.  In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to a charity of your choice.
