Germaine died peacefully under the care of the amazing staff at the Queensway Carleton Hospital on Friday, May 1, 2020. Loving wife of the late Charles L. Kearns. Caring mother of Charles Robert (Jennifer) and grandmother to Allison, Ryan and Brady. Dear sister of Gisele (Joseph), and the late Robert (Monique). Cherished family member to Charles’ sisters – the late Rosemary (Leonard), Julia (Michael) and Jean (Harold). Germaine was a strong, beautiful and proud French Canadian who always put family at the foremost of her thoughts and actions. After working 30 years for CIBC, she retired spending her summers at their cottage in St. Pierre de Wakefield surrounded by her dear relatives - the Perrons, Paquins and Dumuchels and dancing away the winter months in Hollywood, Florida. She is at peace now and will be deeply missed especially her cooking and deserts i.e. tourtiere and peach pie. A funeral will be held at St. Maurice Church at a later date.
