Eliane Belanger

September 4, 1980 — September 24, 2022

Eliane Marlene Belanger

We are sad to share the news of Eliane’s passing. Our lives are forever touched by her love and her big heart.

Eliane faced her cancer with her characteristic drive and determination, tackling it as her life’s mission. She researched every aspect of her cancer and possible treatments. She was open and optimistic throughout and also wanted to share the fruits of what she had learned with others worldwide. She created an online healing program called Reactivate Myself to rebuild, energize, and thrive, body, mind, and soul.

She loved being in nature, barefoot, connecting with and drawing energy from the birds, butterflies, bunnies, and flowers. Always working with her hands, she gardened and created through carpentry. She was passionate about volleyball and was Captain of the gold medal-winning team at Nationals while doing her Master of Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Optical Communications and Nano-Fabrication at the Université de Sherbrooke. She had previously graduated magna cum laude from the University of Ottawa in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Microwave and Photonic Engineering – she was brilliant!

Her radiant smile warmed others along with her elegance, gracefulness, and beauty. She approached life with a childlike awe and wonder, reflected in the innocence in her eyes. Her joie de vivre was evident in her characteristic magenta streak in her hair.

Throughout all her accomplishments and challenges, Eliane was always selfless, giving, and appreciative. She thanked everyone to the end until she could no longer speak. We will be forever grateful for her and her big heart. Rest in peace our precious Eliane.

A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Tubman Funeral Home, Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Rd, Nepean (between Bayshore & Baseline) on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 3pm.  Please note Queensway (417) will be closed between Metcalfe and Carling on Saturday. **********
