Peacefully at Grace Manor in Ottawa, on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the age of 83 years. Loving father to Louise and Leanne (Jason Goveas). Proud “Grandad David” to Jasper Goveas, and Mather and Finley Hare. Dear brother of Mary Allen (the late Bob), and Richard (Sharron). Predeceased by his parents Percy and Gertrude Holt and brothers Ron (Patricia) and Barry. Fondly remembered by Barry’s wife Mary, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

David will be remembered for his kindness, his quick wit and never missing an opportunity to use a good pun.  He loved playing the harmonica, his church community, and choir and choir friends at « Belles and Beaux ».

His family thanks the wonderful staff and volunteers at the Grace Manor for their care and kindness over the past year. Due to COVID restrictions, a private funeral will take place. A memorial mass and interment will take place in Ennismore, ON at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the MS Society would be appreciated.
