We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Blaine McEachern, age 76, of Manotick, ON.  Blaine peacefully passed on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from a stroke, surrounded by his family. Born October 21, 1944 in Weyburn Saskatchewan.  Blaine is predeceased by his parents Bud and Alice McEachern of Langley BC, and brothers Kelly and Dale McEachern.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 54 years, Nancy (McLennan); his two sons Dean McEachern (Anthony) and Chris McEachern (Ashlee); his much loved grandchildren Brody  and Grace who brought so much love and joy to his life; five siblings, Garry McEachern (Bette) of White Rock BC, Karen Nelson of Langley BC, Cheryl Dumais (Ernie) of Oliver BC, Janice Kennedy (Gord) of Abbotsford BC and Wendy Hauser (Bob) of Chilliwack BC, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and relatives.

Blaine retired after a 30 - year career as an economist with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, which gave him the opportunity to travel the world. He enjoyed a second career working part time for the LCBO. He was a man of few words and was known best to be that one person you could count on to be paying attention and listening to every word you said. In his spare time, he enjoyed boating, curling, travelling and spending time with his family.

There will be no service at this time. A celebration of life will be held later. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Tributes, condolences, or donations may be made at www.tubmanfuneralhomes.com.
