(Mason)

May 6, 1934 – July 30, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Audrey Miller announce her passing on July 30, 2020, at the age of 86.  Daughter of the late Harold & Emily Mason. Beloved wife of  59 years to William (Bill/Dusty) Miller.  Cherished mother of Glenn (Andria Keays) and Carol Ann (David Joiner).  Much loved Nanny of Sarah (predeceased), Evan, Mark and Lena.  Great Nanny to Bradley.  Audrey will also be fondly remembered by many family and friends.  Predeceased by her brother Leslie Mason and her sister Ann Brown.  Audrey was a faithful and active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.  Together Audrey & Bill formed a formidable team sharing their friendship, good humour and their warm and generous hospitality with anyone they encountered creating an extended family for years.  Their doors and hearts were always open.  Audrey was very active & dedicated to the CGIT movement, fondly known as ‘Curly’, which proved to be a firm grounding for an incredible life of service culminating in receiving the Woman of Faith Award from the National Presbyterian Church.   Audrey took the CGIT purpose to heart following it in her daily life.  Baking, reading & knitting were a few of her passions as well as supporting Centre 507 for over 25 years.  She was fondly known as the ‘Muffin Lady’ of Carlingwood Mall.  Audrey is and was always the heart of our family.   Her smile made everyone she met feel like they were so valuable– and to Audrey they were, so great was her capacity to love. Audrey’s immovable faith, and the genuine joy and enthusiasm she expressed and shared so generously is her legacy for us to follow. A private family Graveside Service will take place on Tuesday August 4, 2020 at Pinecrest Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to Westminster Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund, Centre 507 Ottawa or a charity of your choice.
