Borden Scullion passed away peacefully after a long, hard-fought battle with Parkinson's disease. Born and raised in Ottawa, Borden shared 55 years of marriage with his loving wife Judith (Judy) Scullion (nee Shepherd). Predeceased by his mother Gilberte Derby (nee Paradis), father Mark Inkerman Scullion, and brother James Scullion. Father to Cindy Gutierrez (Nestor) and Dwayne Scullion (Patricia). Grand-father to Isaac, Brandon, Helena, Alicja, and Aleks. Borden was a passionate educator who worked as a secondary school teacher for over 40 years. He also enjoyed many other activities, including refereeing soccer, playing goalie in hockey, and umpiring baseball.
Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Borden's life on Saturday, January 31, from 2-4 pm at the Tubman Funeral Home, Garden Chapel, 3440 Richmond Rd., Nepean, ON. In keeping with Borden's wishes, it is meant to be a lively celebration, so no need to wear black. Beer and wine will be served.
