Obituary

KELLY, Wendy Marilyn (née Stevens) - Passed away peacefully at Bruyere Health Saint-Vincent Hospital on October 18th, 2026, at the age of 84.

Wendy was the beloved wife of Brian Kelly, with whom she shared 62 wonderful years. Loving mother to Randy Kelly, Todd Kelly (Orly), and cherished grandmother to Alexander and Maya. She will be lovingly remembered by her sister, Heather Stevens (Bob), and brother Peter Stevens (Elaine), her sister-in-law Margo (Terry), nephews and nieces, as well as extended family members and friends. Wendy was predeceased by her parents, Cyril ‘Mickey’ Stevens and Olive ‘Ollie’ Stevens (nee Benoit).

Born in Quebec City in 1942, Wendy grew up in new Edinburgh before moving to Westboro, to raise her family. A woman of remarkable and varied talents, she brought passion and skill to everything she touched, from her beautiful sewing creations, to her competitive spirit and camaraderie on the curling rink. Whether she was volunteering within the community or working in the hospital ER, her happiest moments were spending sun-filled summers at her beloved cottage on Lac Clair, surrounded by the warmth and laughter of family and friends.

Please join us in celebrating Wendy‘s life at a memorial reception on Sunday, November 15th from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road, Ottawa. Words of remembrance will be shared at 1:45 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bruyere Health Saint-Vincent Hospital.
