Teja Lischer passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, and while our hearts are broken, we are also incredibly proud of the life he lived.

Born in Alzey, Germany and later settling in Almonte, Ontario, he built a life through hard work, determination, and care for others. He was kind, generous, and the kind of man whose friendships lasted a lifetime. He was always up for an adventure, loved exploring new places, and embraced life with curiosity and energy. He also had a strong sense of style—he took pride in his appearance, enjoyed shopping, and always made sure he looked sharp, well put together, and dressed to impress. He was a respected businessman in construction and landscaping, and his work is woven into Ottawa, Ontario and the surrounding communities—something we will always be able to see and remember him by.

He was a patient and loving father, and grandfather, who instilled a strong work ethic and led by example every day. That is the legacy we will carry forward.

A Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends will be held at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, (between Bayshore and Baseline Road), on Saturday, June 6 from 1-3 pm.
