Sarah (Sadie) Currie Somerville, née Gibson

18 September 1929 – 06 August 2026

Born in Irvine, Scotland, Sadie immigrated to Canada in 1953 with her husband, John. She worked in Toronto as an accountant, retired to their cottage near Apsley and moved to Peterborough in 2005. After John died in 2017 Sadie moved to Ottawa to be near her son, Ian (Rosy).

As per Sadie’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Her family is grateful for the memories of a remarkable lady whose love, strength and wit will be missed.
