Peacefully in hospital with family at her side. Lise is once again in the loving arms of her husband, the late James Maxwell. 

Loving mother of Sandra Maxwell (Peter), Sharon Maxwell Desormeaux (Claude) and Steve Maxwell (Marie-Claude). Cherished grand-maman of Shawna (Martin), Tara (Frank), Jessica (Brendan), Rebecca (João), James (Azhar) and great grand-maman of 9. She is fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Predeceased by her parents Oscar and Léonie de La Durantaye and her 10 siblings.

Widowed at a young age she devoted the rest of her life to her children, putting their needs and happiness above all else. Her unwavering love, strength and devotion will remain with her children and grandchildren forever.

Memorial visitation will be held at Divine Infant Catholic Church, 6658 Bilberry Drive, Orleans, ON on Wednesday, September 16th, 2026 at 11 a.m. Funeral Mass will take place at 11:30 a.m., followed by a reception.  

Interment, attended by family will take place at Notre-Dame Cemetery, 455 Montreal Road, Ottawa on Thursday, September 17th, at 11 a.m.
