Jocelyn Lee Bishop

It is with shattered hearts that we share the passing of Jocelyn (“Jo”) Lee Bishop, who passed away on September 12, 2025, at the age of 39. Born in Fort McMurray, Alberta, Jo lived her life with love, humour, and an immense kindness that knew no bounds.

She found joy in cooking, great music, dancing, travel, new experiences, and the company of her family and friends. For her partner, Cameron, Jo was and will always be the greatest love of his life. Together, they shared a rare and enduring love, one that found it's way into being when it was most needed. 

Jo is survived by Cameron; her mother, Kim; her sister Ginny, brother-in-law Dave; her cherished nieces Sabine and Nella; mother-in-law Deborah and sister-in-law Meagan; as well as a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her deeply. She was predeceased by her father, Brian.

In keeping with her wishes, Jo has been cremated, and funeral services will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jo’s memory may be made to the Ottawa Hospital who will see that they are directed to the Robin Easey Centre, a place devoted to helping those living with brain injuries

She was the easiest person in the world to love. Rest, beautiful girl - you are at peace. We will see you again.
