We announce with sadness, but grateful, that after a long, well lived life, Harold passed away peacefully at the Colonel By Retirement Residence on June 22, 2026, at the age of 101.

The family finds comfort that he is finally reunited with Eva, his wife of 76 years, who predeceased him on May 13, 2023.

Loved father of Gregory (Jane), the late Stephen Smith, and the late Wendy Kullberg. Cherished grandfather of Jessica, Andrew, Christofer, and Erik. Great-grandpa to Harrison and Jamieson.

Harold was predeceased by his parents, George and Mary Smith, his sisters Marion, Rayma, and Betty, and his brothers Richard, Norman, and Robert. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

He was born on November 18, 1924 in Florenceville, New Brunswick. Harold served in the Canadian Air Force during WWII. After earning an engineering degree from UNB he rejoined the Air Force and then ended his working career at National Defence.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Tubman Funeral Homes Westboro Chapel, 403 Richmond Road (Richmond & Roosevelt) on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 2:00 until the time of service in the chapel at 3:00
