Gordon Richard Ball

Ball, Gordon Richard passed away suddenly in Park Place Retirement Residence on February 4, 2026 at the age of 80 years. He was predeceased by his wife Marguerite ‘Maggie’ Ball (Dugal) in 2022. Gordon will be missed by his sister Lorraine Jarvis (John Jarvis), bothers David Ball (Terri Ball) and Norman Ball (Karen Sigvaldason). He will be remembered by the staff and other residents for the kindness and respect he showed others.

While Gordon lived most of his life in Canada, his interest went far beyond. Shortwave radio, amateur radio, and the internet were tools he used to make friends around the world. Gordon was proud of his work with Transport Canada, helping to make aviation safer for all.

There will be a celebration of life and the details will be announced at a later date.
