Eileen Ellen Childs, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, of Carp, Ontario passed away on April 6, 2026. Born on September 25, 1954, in Ottawa, Ontario, she was the cherished daughter of Elizabeth Wilson and John Boyd.

Throughout her life, Eileen embodied the spirit of warmth and kindness, extending her love not only to her immediate family but to everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. She was a devoted mom and ma, whose nurturing nature and gentle heart left an indelible mark on the lives of those she touched. Her generosity and compassion will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Eileen is survived by her four children: Tammy (Scott) Carr, Robert (Kim) Childs, Roy (Jenn) Childs, and Tracy Childs. She took immense pride in her grandchildren, Christopher, Heather, Jason, Darren, Tyson, and Jake, and her great-grandchildren, Sierra, Jase, Raelynn, Kolton, and Blake, who brought joy and light to her later years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Allan Childs, who passed away in 2012.

A celebration of Eileen’s remarkable life will be held on April 27th at the Carp Agriculture Hall, located at 3832 Carp Road.
