The family mourns the loss of Alice Chiykowski, who passed away peacefully on April 29, 2026, at the age of 93. She was the beloved wife of the late Lloyd Chiykowski for 59 years. Cherished and admired mother of Greg (Karen), Gayle, Tom (Elizabeth), and Teresa. Adored grandmother to Tanya, Peter, Valerie, Matthew, and William, and great-grandmother to Owen Gregory Chiykowski Rathke and Morris Chiykowski Byrd. She is survived by her niece, Vicki, and nephews Gerard, Mark, and Patrick.

Alice was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where she met and married Lloyd. In 1959, Lloyd and Alice settled in Bells Corners, where they raised their family and remained for 52 years. Alice was a talented seamstress and a devoted homemaker. She was a member of Cedarhill Golf and Country Club for more than 20 years, where she enjoyed golfing with Lloyd and participating in the women’s golf league. Music also played a key role in Alice’s life. She appreciated a great polka, and for many years, she and Lloyd held a subscription to the NAC Orchestra, where they enjoyed many fine musical performances. Lloyd and Alice loved to travel and visited many parts of the world, including the UK, Italy, Greece, Spain, Costa Rica, Mexico, and China.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Valley Stream Manor for the compassionate care provided during the final weeks and days of Alice’s journey.
