The holidays are a difficult time for many people who have experienced a loss. Julie Tubman and the staff of Tubman Funeral Homes invite you and your family to attend a special Holiday Remembrance Service in honour of those who have died and in support of those who still live. Meaningful suggestions to help you cope with the holidays will be shared followed by a candle lighting ceremony. Our wish for you in the days ahead is that you find comfort in the sharing of your memories and have the best possible Christmas season. Please join us for an afternoon of healthy support.
Why attend a Tubman Funeral Homes seminar? Someone you love has died. You are beginning a journey that is often frightening, painful and sometimes lonely. No words, written or spoken, can take away the pain you now feel. Perhaps someone has already said to you “In time, you’ll feel better.” Actually, time alone has nothing to do with healing. To heal, you must be willing to learn about and understand the grief process and how it will affect you today, tomorrow and forever. As scary as this may sound, you will never “get over” your grief. Instead, you will learn to live with it. If you allow yourself the time and compassion to mourn, if you truly work through your grief, you, too, will heal. You too will go on to find continued meaning in living and loving. The loss of someone you love is very traumatic. In our continuing effort to be of assistance to the community, we offer this seminar. While there is opportunity for discussion and questions, you are more than welcome to just come and listen.
