Elle laisse dans le deuil son fils Lorenzo Laurin et sa sœur Rita Charrette, ses neveux, nièces et les résidents de la résidence Le Bel-Âge de Thurso. Le service en présence des cendres aura lieu le mercredi 22 juin 2011 à 11h en l’église de la paroisse St-Grégoire-de-Nazianze suivi de l’inhumation au cimetière paroissial. La famille sera présente 30 minutes avant le service pour recevoir vos condoléances. La défunte veut remercier tout spécialement Francine Ayotte, propriétaire de la résidence le Bel-Âge de Thurso pour les bons soins prodigués et toutes les petites attentions ainsi que le personnel du CLSC Vallée-de-la-Lièvre. Passed away peacefully, in her sleep on Tuesday June 7th, 2011, just 1 month shy of her 97th birthday. She was born in Marysville, NB, in 1914, and was predeceased by her first husband, Marvin Mitchell and her second husband, Robert Reed Logie. She is survived by her daughter, Kate Holmes of Carp, ON, her step-daughter, Audrey Conroy of Wolfville, NS, and her step-son, Robert Logie of Kanata, ON. Also survived by grandchildren, Mitchell Azmier of Okotoks, AB, Jason Azmier of Calgary, AB, Emily Conroy of Hantsport, NS, Rhys Logie of Kanata, ON, and great-grandchild, Alize Marie Azmier of Calgary, AB. She is also survived by her sisters, Marie Frazee of Toronto, ON, Kaye Ransom of Trenton, ON, and Louise Long of Ottawa, ON. Anita was a long serving member of the I.O.D.E., joining 70 years ago, in 1941, in New Brunswick. She joined the Lorraine chapter, in Ottawa, in 1955 and served in many executive roles, including President. The family would like to thank the staff of Stillwater Creek Retirement Residence where Anita resided for the last 15 months. In particular, Paula McLean, for her unwavering support, Maureen, Kate, Ashley and Natasha of the nursing department and Teresa, Cherrie and Amanda of ALC-1. As per Anita’s wishes, she will be cremated and a celebration of her life will be held at Bromley Road Baptist Church, 1900 Lauder Drive, Ottawa, on Saturday June 18th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Anita would have preferred a donation to The Ottawa Heart Institute or Bromley Road Baptist Church.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 18 at Saint-Sébastien Catholic Church, 1000 Frances Street, Ottawa, followed by inurnment at Notre Dame Cemetery, 455 Montreal Rd., Ottawa. It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Neil at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus on Sunday, May 8th 2011 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Wilma Alice (nee Dier).
