Passed away peacefully at the Elisabeth-Bruyere Centre on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in her 95th year. Born in Scarborough, Ontario, Audrey was the daughter of the late William and Flossie (née Davison) Craig. Wife of the late S/Sgt Major-RCMP Herbert R. Hoar. She was the proud mother of Dr. Brian Hoar (Barbara), Kelowna, BC and William Bud (Hoar) Craig, Ottawa, ON, and grandmother of Dr. Glen Hoar (Jennifer), Comox, BC, Dr. Karen Hoar (Dr. James Thompson), Mill Bay, BC, Tammy Watson (Sean), Ottawa and Dominique Dumont (James McCreavy), West Palm Beach, FL., great-grandmother of Mackenzie and Quinn Hoar, Rowan and Connor Thompson, Ryan and Tyler Watson. She will also be missed by her nieces, nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by her son Palmer, brother Walter and sister Mary. Audrey moved from Halifax to Ottawa in 1958, and was active in IODE, volunteerism, bridge and golf. The family wish to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Ottawa General and Elisabeth-Bruyere Hospitals for their care. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, on Friday, February 24th, 2012 from 3:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Timothy's Presbyterian Church, 2400 Alta Vista Drive on Saturday, February 25th at 2 pm. Interment will take place at a later date in Sackville, NB.
