Dear Grimes Family: OCH class of '63 was fortunate for having Sharon as a classmate. We enjoyed her wonderful hospitality at her home in 1983 for a Re-union reception. At Re-union 2018 she will be missed and remembered.Beside her graduation picture in our yearbook was printed this quote:"For nature made her what she is,And never made another". Blessings to all of you. Rosalind (Brown '63) Wright

Dear Kelly, Davey, Shaun, Scott, Kiki and Matthew, How sadden we are to hear of your mother's passing. Sharon was truly a wonderful, kind, giving and caring person. I was very blessed to be part of your family's life over so many years. I had the privilege of watching you grow up and become such wonderful people. A true testament to your father and mother's love. Sharon was a courageous individual and dealt with adversity with incredible strength, love and perseverance. I like to think that your mother and father are now together in spirit on Virgin Gorda. May your wonderful memories bring you comfort during this difficult time. Love Gayla and Gilles

Dear Grimes Family We were your next door neighbors while your dear parents were building your new home in Arlington Woods. It was an exciting time for both our families. We remember the model Sharon prepared for the builder to follow during construction. Our youngest son Lenny spent many hours interacting with David and enjoying his company. I recall seeing Lenny on a ladder assisting??? David doing some repairs. It was such a pleasure for us to have such a wonderful family living next door. We remember Sharon's warm smile and kindness and the love she showed David and all you children. May their memories be a source of inspiration and pride to the entire family and to all those who were fortunate to know them. JACK and EVA MINUK

To all the family, Tom and I are heartbroken at the news of your mother's death. Your mom and I have been close friends for more than 50 years. Your father and Tom were childhood friends and classmates. In the past 2 days we have been reminiscing about our mutual weddings on June 6, 1964, one week after the boys's graduation from medical school, our many trips together especially our visit to Virgin Gorda for our 25th wedding anniversary, and all the good times spent with both of them. I have a host of great memories of Sharon and I on our trip to Spain in 2002 with Rachel and Andrée and our cruise to Alaska with the class of '64 just a few years ago. Your mother was a great friend, very kind and caring and also very funny and interesting. We want to wish you all the courage necessary to cope with such a loss. Our thoughts are with all of you. Arlette

Dear Grimes family: I fondly remember your wife, mother, grandmother from the summer I spent babysitting the kids. She always was so loving toward her rambunctious kids and kind to me. Mrs. Grimes was the epitome of sophistication, class and beauty and I found it hard to imagine how she maintained serenity with all those young children. You are lucky to have had her in your lives, even though hers was cut so short. I hope your happy memories comfort you during this time. Thinking of you all. Joanne

Dear Kelly, David, Shaun, Scott, Kristen, and Matthew, I had the privilege of working for your father, and knew your mother. Sharon was a lady with grace and class. I witnessed the kindness and generosity that she displayed to the less fortunate. I learned many positive things from both of them and they have served me well to the present. Their souls are together now. My prayers and thoughts are with you. Delores Riou

My thoughts are to the Grimes children and grandchildren during their mourning of a beautiful (inside and out) mother and grandmother. I remember her fondly over the years as I grew up summers in Kingsmere, babysitting her well behaved crew , and her hosting Regattas when I was a teen especially. Her love for competition was evident in the Watson-Grime Regatta races! She raised a wonderful family and trust you will find comfort with each other. Much love. Julie
