I have so many great memories visiting Uncle Bob and the gang in St. Basille but I remember this one time Uncle Bob and Auntie Deny came to visit us in Greenfield Park. We had a huge indoor/outdoor mouse/bird hunting cat named Amos and I was concerned how they would interact. Well, when they arrived, Amos went over to Auntie Deny and sniffed her then turned and looked at Uncle Bob for a few seconds and that was the last we saw of Amos for the evening! I always thought Uncle Bob was special but that evening I thought WOW my uncle is the anti-cat whisperer! I even think Amos was impressed. I told this story to so many people over the years and a lady I used to work with honestly wanted me to ask Uncle Bob to help with her neighbors 3 cats always digging up her flower bed! Although I will miss Uncle Bob terribly, the Turnbull brothers are all reunited now. Rest in Peace Uncle Bob and deepest sympathies to Auntie Deny, David, Joanne and Bob. Your goddaughter and niece, Jennifer

Aunt Denise, David, Joanne, and Bob, I have fond memories of visits to St. Basille and, more recently, to Ottawa. I remember Uncle Bob's sense of humour and, yes, those stories about his alien origins! Uncle Bob's loss will be felt by all of us. While there is certainly grief and sadness, I was happy to hear that his passing was peaceful and that all of you were at his side. I wish I could have joined my parents in their visit just the day before - we'll be there in spirit on Saturday. All of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Brenda Dillon

I will always remember the family trips to Montreal, visiting Bob & Denise, Joanne, Bob and Doug. It was always a fun and positive time. It's always hard to let go, but rest assured, Uncle Bob had a full and rich life. With a loving family and friends all around. Thinking about all of you. Take care. Love from the Dillon's (Russell, Linda, Josh, Nick, Kelsey)

Uncle Bob, I remember your kindness, support, laughter, and love. Most of all though, I remember your goofiness. Remembering you always with love and a big smile. Your neice, Dawn

My memories of Bob are all good ones. I cannot think of a time ever being angry with him. He always made us laugh with his stories. Bob was a great brother, loving husband, and a terrific Dad, loved by all. Keep the angels laughing Bob! Remember you always. Love Ruth

Bob was a big brother to both of us and together with Denise served as our ideal for marriage and parenthood. Just a thought"I used to think getting old was about vanity--actually it's about losing people you love.Getting wrinkles is trivial. Maureen(goggle puss)and Carl Dillon

The loss of my Uncle Bob leaves the world a little less vibrant. Uncle Bob, Uncle Reg, and my Dad Ed were three of a kind, and it's nice to know they are together again, having a drink, and reminiscing. My thoughts are with Aunt Denise, David, Joanne, Bobby and the families. See you on the 3rd. Sandra

I am truly sorry to hear this news. He was a good man and had a big heart. I remember him to be very funny and kind. I would love to hear his jokes when I would come over. He put a smile on people's faces. "Back to the future"!! He will be remembered and missed. Rest in peace grampa Bob. Love Jamie Fontaine
