Dear Catherine and Ann, I was very sad to read the newspaper announcement of your mother's death. As a long-time member of the Rideau Tennis Club myself, I had known your mother for many years. She and your father were stalwart life members, always to be seen on the courts. You were right when you commented on her boundless energy. She would finish her two hours on the court and then volunteer to play for any group whose fourth had left, and play for another hour. I also saw her on the ski trails in the Gatineau Hills with her good friend Nell Khandkar. Our paths also crossed many times at High Horizons lunches where I was also a volunteer, bringing sandwiches and squares from our parish. I will be out of town in April and not able to attend the get-together in her honour at the tennis club, but I will be thinking of her and missing her. Chip Sangster, Rideau Tennis

Cathy and Ann and families Lorne and I are so sorry to hear that Mary has passed. It is forty years since we moved from Caton Street to Pakenham and sadly, we have not kept in touch. It looks as though Mary continued to have a busy and fulfilling life. It is a sad time for all who were close to her, but belief me, she will always be with you day by day. God bless. Mimi

I'm so sorry to hear about Mary Simpson's passing. I was very grateful to see her last July when my mom transitioned and it meant a lot to our family. It had been many years since I saw her last and was again amazed at how she never seemed to age. She exuded a youthful vitality and always greeted you with her fantastic smile and sweet laugh. May she Rest In Peace. Sending Catherine, Ann and all her loved ones much love and light.
