Peacefully on June 19, 2016, in her 98th year, in her home at the Groves Park Lodge, Renfrew, ON. Predeceased by her first husband Lee Edward Watson and second husband Walter Bowes. Daughter of the late William Wilson and Eliza Ann James. Lucy is survived by her five children Carol (Laurie), Bill (late Linda) (friend Carol), Bonnie (David Forrest), Barry (Faye) and Brian (Katie). She will also be greatly missed by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Myrtle (Carson Shaw), Shiriff (Ruby), Jane (Elwood Whyte), John (Alice) and Ella (Alf Richardson). Lucy was a Registered Nurse, Grace Grad who loved her job as a nurse, which never left her after retirement. The family would like to thank the staff at Groves Park, Renfrew for the excellent care she received. Friends may call at Tubman Funeral Homes – Garden Chapel,3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Rd.) on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. John’s Anglican Church, 325 Sandhill Rd., Kanata on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 11 a.m. Those wishing may make donations to the Groves Park Lodge Auxiliary Fund or to a charity of your choice.
