This is terrible news, my condolences to Karen's family. My best memories of her were the many summers spent learning swimming in Kemptville with Karen and family. Rest in peace.

I work with John at Walmart...and it was often that Karen came in to do some shopping, or to have a bite to eat with John. Although i didn't know her very well, she was always kind, and always smiling. She often made her way to my section of the store just to say Hello! John i am so very sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved wife, it is with a heavy heart that i offer my condolences to you and all your family. May the hurt you feel lighten as time goes by...and may your heart be filled with joy as you remember all that you shared together. Courage and Strength through this rough time. Lots of love. Lise

To all of Karens family at home and CHEO- my sincere sympathy. I remember working with her and the fun times we had back in the day. Has been quite awhile since I have seen her but hold very fond memories from then. Her fun and caring personality is what I remember most. Such a loss at a time she should be enjoying retirement, family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all those she touched during her time here. Hold on to those precious memories. RIP Karen....

Karen has been a friend most of our lives. I treasured her kind, caring and loving personality. We had the greatest talks and I WILL miss her terribly. She was very astute and had a wonderful sense of humor. It must be very difficult for her family as it is extremely difficult for me to imagine that we will never talk again. But she had a a special quality that I will never forget. She was inspiring and I will remember her for the many kind things that she did and said. I will be inspired by her spirit in all that I do. I wish her peace and rest in her final journey.
