I can't express how deeply and painfully I miss you, John, but God sees my abundance of so many tears, they are not going unnoticed by Him and He will continue to comfort me so that I will be able to face another day even though I don't want to live another day without you...somehow Jesus will sustain me and provide for me all that I need to go on...He is always faithful and good regardless of my extreme loss and pain...

Tuesday, October 27th, 2015. Dearest Joy, It was wonderful to see you yesterday!!! You look almost the same as you did about 26 years ago!!!! We know for a fact that you will miss John terribly!!! I wanted to send this message to you because I felt that I should share this little story with you. I can remember when we lived in Aylmer, Quebec many years ago, I drove a carload of teens in a blinding blizzard so that they could attend a week-end camp. Because of the high snow banks on the road, something under my car let-go and I wasn't able to drive it back home. However, John was right there and crawled under my car to see what he could do to help. Believe it or not, he actually used a wire coat hanger to repair my car to the point that I was able to return home. He really was such a great helper! Dave and I are keeping you in our prayers. Although we live two and a-half hours away, always consider that we are here for you!! Love, Sharon & Pastor Dave Estabrooks.

Oh John, how much we miss you, and how our heart aches that you are gone. There are so many things I wish I could have said to you before you were gone, so many things to say thank you for, and to just give you one more hug and tell you how much we care. I take comfort in the thought that I know that I will see you again. This goodbye is not forever, but only for a time. You are such a treasure. So many times you were such a sight for sore eyes, to Steve and I. Isaiah loved you so very much and will miss the lightsaber duels and monkey hunts you two had together. Know that we love you and miss you dearly. With all our hearts, Claudia and Steve

John was a good man. Very thoughtful and always considerate. It was a great pleasure to have known him. I wish him now all the peace he so much deserves. Rest in Heaven. You will be truly missed. Tina misses you and loved you with all her heart. Her heart is heavy, it will take time but she will always cherished the love you both endured for each other. Your memories will last forever. Please watch down on her as she has always looked up to you. To Joy, you were a loving couple who were and always will be appreciated by us.

Oh John... you are one of the most passionate believers I have ever known. Your attention to others, service and salvation is so genuine and powerful. Your spirit is unstoppable, and I want to thank you for sharing it with me, my husband and my son. You will be held in many a heart, my friend. Peace be with you, now and for all eternity. Joy, I am so sad for you. Your thoughts and words are beautiful, and I am amazed at your strength and wisdom at such a time as this. Reach out when you need to. Retreat when you need to. May God's power and a mighty army of angels be by your side through every moment. Isaiah 46:4 - "I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you." Take heart and have hope. Love like yours never dies, it just changes form. xoxoxo Bless you xoxoxo

Joy we are deeply saddened by the loss of John. We will miss him stopping by for coffee to chat or ask for a helping hand from his "albino friend". He was there for us on many occasions, whether it was moving vehicles, fixing furnaces, plugging tires or even catching chickens! He will be missed but not forgotten, always in our heart. We are here for you always.

We are deeply saddened at the loss of a truly wonderful man. If anyone had a heart for Jesus it was John. His smile was infectious and he blessed us many times by always having a minute to talk, to check in, or to pray for us. We loved him and admired his passion for mission work and for sharing the gospel with anyone -especially the vulnerable. We truly hope he experiences peace in the arms of our Lord and that Joy finds comfort in the arms of all who loved him and love you.

You've left such a huge whole in my heart, baby, I miss you so much that I can't even express it. I still can't believe you are gone but I take comfort knowing that you are in Heaven and that I will see you again there. I put my complete trust in our Lord and Savior to give me the much needed strength, courage, ability and peace to go on even though the pain I'm feeling is extremely heavy. I love you deeply - God blessed me greatly with the honor of being your wife for the years we did have and I'll always cherish that and the way you truly loved me and made me laugh. xox yours always, Joy

My heart goes out to you, Joy for the loss you are experiencing. May God carry you through this time and bless you deeply. I will always remember John for his wonderful smile, his enthusiasm, his willingness to serve, his passion, his faithful participation on the Worship Team, his huge contribution of time and energy to the building project at Southgate Community Church, his leadership and tireless work for the missions teams to Mexico and building the church there ... the list could go on! May he find peace now in the arms of Jesus.

My heart is so heavy as we say goodbye to an amazing man of God & a brother in Christ. It seems surreal. It's like I can't believe you are really gone, and yet I am thankful for the wonderful place in which you now reside. I will miss you so much, but we will meet again one day.

Dearest Joy, We offer our deepest condolences to you and John's family. There is no way to express the depth of the sorrow we feel for your loss. Someone once wrote "You can shed tears that he is gone, or you can smile because he has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that he’ll come back, or you can open your eyes and see all he’s left. Your heart can be empty because you can’t see him, or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember him and only that he’s gone, or you can cherish his memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back, or you can do what he’d want: Smile, open your eyes, love and go on." We can all smile because Johnlived and open our eyes and see all he's left. John was the best. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers day and night. “The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you;The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26 (NKJV) All our love, Kaylie and Bill
