Craig, Mark and Families - May I, on behalf of our entire family, express condolences to all of you on the death of your much loved Mom/ Grandma. Surely she was very special to each one of you. I'll always think of her as a fantastic supporter of all your many endeavours and one who was always there to encourage you and share her love with you, regardless of where you were or what you were doing. Also sending my regrets that previous commitments will keep me from attending her Celebration of Life service on Saturday but, please be assured that my thoughts are, and will continue to be with you during these most difficult days. Dear Craig and Mark: It is so very sad to have to say goodbye to your Mother. Joan was still so young. Please always remember that she loved her boys! She was so very proud of both of you. In addition to the two of you and your Father, Rene, she loved her three grandsons dearly. That said, I think her love of hockey came next! She traveled far and wide across Ontario and Quebec to watch the two of you play at many levels and in later years repeated the journey following her three grandsons. Watching any one of her "five boys" play a good game of hockey brought her great joy. Douglas and I are so very sorry that we are unable to be with you on Saturday for the funeral service but our love, hearts, and minds will be.

I'm so very sorry to learn of Joan's passing. I worked with Joan in the early 90's in Board Services. She tried to teach me to write Board minutes and was very patient!! Her family was her pride and joy. My condolences.

So saddened to hear of your mom's passing, Craig and Mark and families. I think she died of a ' broken' heart as it wasn't long ago that her husband, my cousin and your dad, Rene, passed. It's difficult losing both your parents. I, also, have a deep void now that my Aunt Blanche, Uncle Vincent, Rene and now, Joan are gone. It's bittersweet to have longevity. I plan to attend the funeral, depending on the weather.
