It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Ivy Jane Duffett, peacefully at Valley Stream, after a very long, wonderful and full life. Mom was 94 years of age. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Charles and her youngest daughter Donna . She is the dearly loved mother of Shirley Poulin (Gary), William (Donna), Naida Froese, Linda Brinson, Fay Glynn (Michael), and Charles (Gosha). She is also survived by her grandchildren Karen, Rob, Greg, Erica, Kathy, Gordon, Adam, Reese and Naida, and her great grandchildren Cassandra, Matthew, Lincoln, Brooke, Brianna, Colton and Nathan. Ivy was born on Black Island, Newfoundland and was the youngest child of James and Janet Primmer. She was predeceased by her brothers, William, Garland and Robert and her sister Naida (Simmons). She has many cousins, nephews, nieces and friends that will also miss her dearly. A very special thanks must be extended to the 3rd Floor staff at Valley Stream Residence for the exceptional care, love and friendship they gave to our Mother during her final years. Friends are invited to join Ivy’s family during visitation at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Home, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean, on Wednesday April 13, 2016 from 6-8 pm.
