With family by her side, Mom passed away peacefully on May 24, 2016 at the Buckingham Hospital. For 52 years she was the beloved wife of John Blythe McClelland (deceased 1992). Survived by her children: Darryl (Freda), Letitia (late Don Clemenhagen), Kent (Lise) and Harold (Cindy). Also survived by her grandchildren: Maureen (Kim), Sheila (David), Blake (Tammy), Heather (Shawn), Melanie (David), Trent (Nikki), Trevor (Jennifer), Shelley (Randy), Toby (Liam) and Chad (Lyne) and great grandchildren: Kyle, Scott, Jason, Laura, Rebecca, Julia, Courtney, Kirsten, Riley, Wade, Hope, Tess, Lily, Thomas, Fiona, Kenshin, Dalyane, Kirsten, Morgan, James, and Adam. Eldest daughter of the late Gordon Young and Edna Todd. Predeceased by her sisters, Pauline, Letitia, Georgina and her brother Donald. Survived by her sisters, Mavis and Ruth. Mom was very proud of her family; loved to play cards and bingo; especially enjoyed sing-a-longs. A strong matriarch who set a fine example. Special thanks to Francis Waterston and the staff at the Buckingham Hospital. Visitation will be held at the Westboro Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 403 Richmond Road, Ottawa (at Roosevelt.)on Tuesday, May 31 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. On Wednesday, June 1 an hour of visitation will be held prior to the 1 p.m. service in the chapel. Burial to follow at St. Andrew’s United Church Cemetery in Poltimore, 2735 Principale, Val des Monts, at approximately 3:15 p.m. with a reception to follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers donations to the Ottawa Heart Institute or to charity of choice.
