Dagg, Elizabeth “Betty”
Peacefully, in hospital, surrounded by her whole family, in Ottawa, Ontario, on Friday, November 18, 2016 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Ivan Dagg for over 60 years. Dear mother of Connie (Doug Drake), Dan, and Wendy (Ross Taylor). Cherished “Nan” to Scott Drake (Heather), Brodie, Tara Taylor (Ed Rusenstrom), Lisa Taylor, Mark Taylor (Pam), Travis Dagg and Morgan Dagg. Very proud “Nannie” to Brooklyn Drake, Carson Rusenstrom, Ayven Drake, Bennett Rusenstrom, Pierce Rusenstrom and Wade Taylor. Loving sister to Alec Cobb, and special sister-in-law to Ron & Evelyn Deavy, and Ken & Dolly Dagg. She will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Betty was exceptionally proud of her family, and took every chance she had to serve large family meals and bring everyone together. She loved to entertain, host parties, talk on the phone, tell jokes, give advice, and most importantly, keep up with her great-grandchildren. Betty’s love for the cottage life was passed on to each of her grandchildren, and we are tremendously thankful for all the wonderful memories made with Nan & Pap on Reuckwald Lake. Friends and family may call Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Ottawa on Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 1-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 20 Young Road, Kanata on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 11 a.m. Reception to follow. Private graveside service will take place Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at St. James Anglican Church, Otter Lake, Quebec. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. James Anglican Church, Otter Lake or to St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Kanata would be appreciated.
