This picture was taken at the May Court Hospice a few days before Diana’s passing. She loved the outdoors, especially sitting in the sunshine. Margaret Kottmeier

Mark and Gwen, and family. I am so very sorry for your loss. Diana will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched with her light, her great sense of humour and her positive shining spirit. I always enjoyed our chats about travel, life and people, and of course jewellery! She will be watching over you. Take Care, Julie

I found this tribute on the Tubman Funeral home page, and thought it was beautiful, "You can shed tears that she is gone, or you can smile because she has lived. You can close you eyes and pray that she'll come back, or you can open you r eyes and see all she's left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see her, or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her and only that she's gone, or you can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back, or you can do what she'd want: Smile, open your eyes, love and go on." I will miss you my sweet friend. Love, Margaret

I have been reflecting on Diana and her family for these last few days and wondered what it is I would want to share. Today I am going to spend time with my best friend of 47 years and whom I know that Diana also treasured. Diana treasured life and people and she was one of the most encouraging people I got to know a little. Her warmth and giving nature lives on through those that she touched, such as my friend. Her sweetness is also reflected through Gwen and Mark. Loss is just not easy and there are no words that can express enough of how deeply sad we are for those that are left behind. I loved Diana's deep seeded faith and pray that it is through that faith, that you Mark and Gwen, will find solace. Remembering joy, smiles, her hugs and genuine love of people, I will miss her and I will remember her every time I spend moments with my friend and how this life is enriched but what we share with others. Love and Hugs, Sue

I'm so sorry and upset. Diana was such a caring and giving soul. I was thinking this week that I come out to see her and could give her a big hug like the last time and always did!! My poor Dianna. Such a good fighter along with her wonderful family. I will miss her!!!

How blessed I was to become your friend Diana - you taught me so much in this past year and not just about beads and jewelry but about life & courage & strength & determination & Christian love. Spending time with you in the store, meeting your family, friends, customers & your caregivers - I was so blessed by those interactions. Every visit was like a special little treasure that I would go home and unpack all week long until we got together again to work and share and laugh. I will miss you Diana but I know that you will always be with me and my world is so much bigger and brighter for having had you and your smile and warmth in it. I told you recently that I thought we should be working on a book deal, we would call it "Saturdays with Diana" because there are so many lessons that deserve to be shared for others to learn from. To Mark & Gwen, thank you for sharing your wife & Mom with me and allowing me to be a part of your lives. Your friend, Ruth

I will always remember Diana with love. From the very first time I met her I was touched by her winning smile and giving nature. Her beautiful spirit attracted many. She was always generous and kind and supportive of others. She gave of herself freely and had a huge impact in my life. The world is a better place for her being in it and I will miss her so. My heart goes out to her family and especially her beautiful daughter Gwen and to Mark. I am so sorry for your loss and can only hope that your precious memories will help to bring comfort to you.
