My sincere condolences to the entire Empey clan. I have many great remembrances of Chuck but the most common thread amongst them was his ability to stifle his frustration and his (often undeserved) patience, kindness and control when dealing with a bunch of bonehead teenagers. A memorable man - I'm sure he will be sorely missed.

To the Empey Family, Our sympathies to all of you. The Legion meant so much to Chuck. He and Norine were such strong supporters. We treasured our time spent with them. Cherish your memories. He is now reunited with Norine to watch over all of you. Take care and God bless. Sincerely, Dianne & Don Lance Hanna AB

Dear Empey family, I was so very sorry to hear about your dad and grandfathers' passing. There are so many memories of your dad and mom at your place in Osgoode-always lots of fun and lots of love. Loved his smile. Sending thoughts of love and sympathy to all of you at this time. Kathy Richards (Solc) from Osgoode

Writing for my Dad, Lyman Gilks, who is in the Rideau Veteran's Home and is unable to attend Chuck's memorial service. Please accept our sincere condolences. Chuck and Dad flew together for years and Dad spoke of him often, always with affection and respect.
