We are so very sad to learn of Brian's passing. We couldn't have asked for a better neighbour. He was such a big help to my parents and then to us. We loved his droll sense of humour and were often in awe of his wide-ranging knowledge. He was a modest man who had a quiet self-confidence gained over a lifetime of hard work and curiosity. It was always a source of comfort to us seeing his boat in the water and knowing that he and his beloved Elva would be sailing off to another weekend of pure relaxation. Brian is much missed.
