Passed away on October 13, 2011 at Longfields Manor, Nepean, Ontario in his 104th year. Son of the late Herbert and Sarah Newman. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Evelyn Buckley. Loving father of Penny Martin (Bill), Oshawa, ON, Shirley Robinson (late George), Nepean, ON and Dorothy Ann “Dorie” Major (Gordon), Lombardy, ON. Loving grandfather of Jayne, Linda, Rick, Greg, John and Paula. Also survived by 11 Great-grandchildren and one Great-Great- Grandson. Predeceased by 8 brothers and 1 sister. Brother-in-law of Helen Newman (Arthur), St. Catharines, ON. Peacefully in hospital on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Edwin Ross. Dear mother of Heather, Ian (Kim) and Graham (Jenn). Loving grandmother of David Winter, Allie Winter and Liv Ross. Predeceased by brothers John, Clifford, and Eric and sisters Barbara, Agnes, and Helen. Peacefully at the Almonte Fairview Manor, Mary Miller, at the age of 82 years, lifetime member of Holy Name of Mary Parish, Almonte and the Catholic Women’s League, after a lengthy and courageous battle with Diabetes and Alzheimer’s. Mary’s suffering ended when the Lord took her to be with Him on Thursday, October 6, 2011. Mary was predeceased by her husband Eric Miller (1972) and by her parents, Elizabeth Gorman (1979) and Alfred O’Brien (1930). Mary is survived by her loving children, Cathy (Merv) Logan, Janice (David) Blackburn, Stephen (Kathie), Michael (Nancy) and Angela (Greg) Giles. Her grandchildren, Alana, Roslyn, Geoffrey, Andrew, Matthew, Daniel, Kristy, Stacey, Winston, Mark, Alicia, Jennifer and Gavin will dearly miss their Nanny. Mary is also survived by her great grandchildren, Myla,Wakan, Olivia, Charlotte , Kaelyn, Parks and Cage. Mary is survived by her sister, Theresa Carroll (Deep River) and her brother, Terry Gorman. Mary was predeceased by her sister Nancy, brothers, Joseph, Jack and Ray. Gone home to be with her Lord, on Monday, October 3, 2011 at the age of 76 years. Beloved wife of the late Ronald Robert Ramsay. Much loved daughter of the late William Edwin Brownlee and Hattie Irene Ormond. Dear sister of the late Albert “Mel” Brownlee, Mina Smiley, Lorne, Richard, and David Brownlee. Predeceased by a step-brother and her best friend Iris Caldwell. Mary is also survived by many nieces, nephews and their families. She will also be dearly missed by her special friends Anna and Giovanni and the entire Vallati Family, Shannon Stevenson and her cherished canine companion Kirby. Eldest son of Carlos (1963) and Eleanor (1988) passed away peacefully on September 27, at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Velma Caves (nee Brown) of 42 years. He will be sadly missed by his family, Diane Morrison, Terry Caves, Gayle Caves, and Brent Caves as well as 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews, grand & great grand. Predeceased by his son Bill White, his brothers, James White (1926), Norman White(2005) Norman's wife Doris (1992), William White (May 2003), and sisters Mildred White (1999), June (White) Leman (2011)(Ed Leman (1981). Survived by his brother Lawrence (Sylvan Lake, Alberta), his sisters Irene (White) Elliott in Kamloops, B.C (Boyd 2003); Ruby (White) Bretz (Harold) in Kitchener, Ontario.
